Hanuman and Sita's Flight, 2012

Size: 11.75" x 15.75"
This piece is also influenced by East Asian Arts. I incorporate delicate lines with bold colors to portray a story of hope and sadness. Hanuman (the monkey god) is generously and gracefully flying with Sita to find her husband Rama. While the viewer may not be familiar with this Hindu mythological story, the painting is meant to capture fleeting emotions of love and fear.
